Friday night marked the first meeting this season of old rivals in a new conference. #18 North Dakota was on an 8-0-1 unbeaten streak and #16 DU coming off a home split with St. Cloud State and a 4 or 6 point road series against the University of Minnesota-Duluth. On this night the FKA Sioux took it to the Pioneer squad beating the home team in almost all aspects of the game and definitely on the scoreboard with a 4-2 win that didn't even seem that close.
