Cherry Creek State Park Colorado 2012
Cherry Creek State Park is a wonderful place that is located right smack in the middle of Denver, Colorado's southeastern suburbs. Residents of the cities of Aurora, Greenwood Village, Englewood and Centennial can find recreation and entertainment at this state park that contains a large reservoir and surrounding grasslands that include groves of deciduous trees. A myriad of birds ranging from robins, starlings and magpies to a variety of raptors can be found here as can a multitude of mammals including deer, coyotes, ground squirrels and those always interesting human beings. This is a place that I now use to practice my photography techniques, try new things and get away, even for an hour or two, from the daily grind. The character of the park changes with the seasons and one never knows what they'll encounter on a particular day.
